Seong Min Lee

Seong Min has extensive experience in the banking industry. Based on his knowledge and hands-on experience from one of the largest banks in Korea, he worked as an In-house lawyer for Woori bank Sydney branch, assisting Woori bank in obtaining the ADI (bank) licence from Australian Prudential Regulation Authority, together with AFSL (Authorised Financial Service License) from Australian Securities Investment Commission. He has particular expertise and experience in the areas of banking and finance transactions, Initial Public Offering (IPO) and fund raising for start-up companies.

James Sim

Lawyer, JD CA CPA CGMA BPA

James started his career at PwC. During the 11 years at both PwC Korea and Hong Kong, he was actively engaged in financial statements audit, audit on internal control over financial reporting, GAAP conversion, financial due diligence and business advisory services. After gaining solid understanding of accounting and business processes, he extended his career into the legal service industry as a lawyer. From his prior experience with a broad range of corporate clients at PwC, he has naturally become passionate about corporate and commercial law areas. With his extensive global exposure, he is also dedicated to providing legal services to companies looking to expand globally.

Su Hoon Jung

Lawyer, JD GDLP MEng BEng

Su Hoon is an experienced advisor having assisted corporate clients operating across a wide range of sectors, including telecommunication, information technology, and engineering in both Australia and Korea. He is principally involved in Residential & Commercial properties and Probate matters for individual clients and also providing a range of services including document management and database support for discovery, case preparation and court support for litigation, in-house document review for corporate clients at Allens.

Su Hoon graduated with Juris Doctor from University of New South Wales, a Master of Electrical Engineering from Yonsei University, a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Hong-Ik University. He is admitted as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and studying Graduate Diploma of Translating and Interpreting for Korean and English at Macquarie University.


Jason Han

Lawyer, JD (Distinction) BBus (Honours)

Jason is an experienced lawyer who specialises in banking, finance, commercial and corporate law. He developed a profound understanding of the banking and financial services industry during his tenure as a management consultant and investment banker in Sydney, Seoul and Hong Kong before transitioning to law. His industry expertise, coupled with his extensive experience in a diverse array of transactions across various deals, greatly aids in comprehending his clients’ requirements and offering pragmatic advice.

Jason holds a Juris Doctor (Distinction) from University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Business (Honours) from University of Technology Sydney. He is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales. 

 


Hye Sun (Susan) Shin    

Lawyer, LLB, CIA, CISA, MBA

Hye Sun has extensive commercial experiences for more than 20 years in Finance & Accounting, Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, Consulting and Corporate Governance areas working for well-known multinational companies like NCR, Protiviti, Brooks Instrument, and Novelis.  She pursued her legal studies and has been admitted as lawyer of the Supreme Court of NSW in 2012.  Both her commercial and legal knowledge will serve the client’s complex issues that modern corporates are facing in daily operation of business such as, but not limited to, drafting various commercial agreements, advising on imminent or potential legal risks, and defending legal cases.   She also has interests in Family, Migration, and Wills and Estate laws.

Austin M.C. Yeung

Consultant, JD LLM MA LLB

Austin is a lawyer admitted in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia. Austin holds a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of New South Wales, a Master of Arts from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, a Master of Law from the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Science and a Bachelor of Law from the China University of Political Science and Law. 

Austin has developed a reputation in his practice in civil and commercial litigations, insolvency, taxation disputes and private international law disputes. Austin’s client base includes large Chinese state-owned companies, Chinese and Hong Kong SAR listed companies, large Australian companies, Australian liquidators and high net worth individuals. 

Austin's Chinese and Australian law degrees and his multilingual skills (Austin speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese) provide further assistance where needed for clients from diverse backgrounds.


Sam Jo

Sam focuses his practice on banking and financing transactions. His experience includes asset-based financing, project financing and acquisition financing. Sam has also dealt with all aspects of syndicated lending and structured financing while at law firms, insurers and investment banks in both Korea and Australia.
